The macro-economic research team is in charge of producing thorough analyses of the main economies and their interactions with market’s dynamics. It is working closely with the Investment Management teams. It is also having regular meetings with Candriam’s clients and is in constant contact with the Media.
In a context of growing demands, the team needs to recruit a Junior economist who will bring support to the Senior economists and will be responsible for :
- Monitoring, analyzing and modelling macro-economic evolutions.
- Contributing to the global work of the team by: maintaining and developing quantitative tools to support the ongoing research ; producing various basic inputs such as briefs, charts, slide packs.
- A post graduate degree in Economics with a strong capacity to use quantitative tools,
- A real interest in the construction and the use of database for applied research,
- A strong interest for macroeconomic and financial issues,
- Solid computing skills (a good knowledge of econometric software such as Eviews or SAS would be a plus),
- Some experience in applied economic research would be a plus : 1-3 years of professional experience in a research, market monitoring or analytical role,
- Organized and meticulous : High level of attention to detail and capacity to deliver high quality work,
- Drafting skills,
- Eager to learn as well as to explain,
- Enthusiastic and enjoying team work,
- Fluent in English and French. Dutch would be a plus.
