Mission

The ESG Quant Analytics & Research team is seeking support to strengthen its ESG data management capabilities. The candidate will act as a key point of contact for ESG data topics and contribute to various strategic and operational initiatives.

 

To support these missions, Candriam is looking for a student (12 to 24 months) to assist with ESG data analysis, ensure data quality, contribute to VBA/Python developments, and provide operational support. The position will start in September 2025.

Responsabilities

The person will be responsible for :

  • Acting as the main point of contact for ESG data within the ESG team.
  • Supporting the analysis and comparison of ESG data providers, including the evaluation of new sources and review of current vendors in collaboration with ESG analysts
  • Regular updates of ESG data and related analyses (e.g., carbon data for green bonds, exposure to oppressive regimes, etc.)
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the ESG Data Management System to align with evolving ESG analysis frameworks and business needs
  • Assisting in the assessment of ESG data feasibility for mandates and RFPs
  • Participating in internal and external working groups focused on ESG data and universe definition
  • Supporting the ESG universe maintenance and contributing to ESG model updates

Profile

• Master's degree or equivalent in Finance, Economy or Statistics
• Fluent in English and French
• Analytical and synthetical mind, with strong skills in data analysis
• Good command of VBA and Python; knowledge of SQL and databases
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus
• Interest in ESG topics (e.g., climate change, ESG regulation, sustainability)
• Rigor, attention to detail
• Adaptability, proactivity, and ability to work autonomously
