Mission

The Middle Office Derivatives, based in Paris, comprises two entities with a total of about 8 employees. Its operating scope includes:


- Exchange traded derivatives (all asset classes)
- Over The Counter derivatives (all asset classes)
- External funds of funds


The Middle Office takes part in various cross-disciplinary projects. These include organizing and following up on projects to analyze and implement new processes (new financial instruments, new counterparties, etc.), and constantly enhancing Straight Through Processing.

Responsabilité

The Middle Office Derivatives Officer (8-persons team) has multiple duties:

Post trade on all derivatives traded in Candriam (ETD and OTC whatever the underlying asset class),

-          Collateral management,

-          Corporate action management,

-          Cash and position reconciliation,

-          All matters related to the EMIR regulation,

 

Out of the 8 employees, two oversee the external multi management activity, the related responsibilities include:

-          Cash and position reconciliation,

-          Pricing & valuation,

-          Data collection on the underlying funds,

-          Order execution,

Profil

•Soft skills: He/She is an analytical, rigorous ( strongly risk awareness oriented ), assertive, autonomous, a demonstrable sense of initiative and results-driven team player and self-starter who constantly seeks ways to enhance existing processes;

•He/She performs well in stressful situations; and is constantly able to prioritize actions
•He/She holds a Bachelor's/Master's degree with a major in finance or economics or similar experience.
•Middle Office experience in Asset Management is a plus.
•He/She holds knowledge of Front-to-Back flows for different types of financial instruments (over the counter derivatives, exchange traded derivatives and external funds);
•He/She is proficient with SWIFT messages. Knowledge affirmation platform, collateral management tools and DTCC GTR is a plus.
•He/She is proficient with EMIR regulations and Multi Management.
•He/She is highly skilled in English, French.
