Mission

Reporting to Candriam’s Head of Fixed Income, the quantitative analysis team provides technical and quantitative support to portfolio managers through the development of proprietary decision-making tools.

Responsabilities

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop robust and well-adapted quantitative tools and models to analyze Fixed Income markets and enhance fund decision-making processes (Top-Down analysis, Asset Allocation, key indicators forecasting, etc.).
  • Design, develop, and backtest trading strategies and ideas (Relative Value, Pair Trading, Statistical Arbitrage, etc.) to provide actionable signals to our Fixed Income desks within a discretionary trading environment.
  • Contribute to both internal and external communication regarding the tools, models, and strategies developed (quantitative reports, presentations, training sessions, support materials, white papers, etc.)

 

Profile

- Graduated from an engineering school and/or Master's degree in Finance.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience as a quantitative analyst in an AM/HF Front Office/Trading environment.
- A proven exposure to Fixed Income / Credit markets is an absolute requirement.
Extensive knowledge of Quantitative Finance/ Financial Engineering/ Machine learning.
- Strong analytical, modeling, numerical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
- Strong technical background in Python. Some experience in C++ would be a plus.
- Strong ability to multitask, with excellent organizational skills and a high level of initiative.
- Creative and proactive in promoting solutions and new ideas, resilient under pressure, and consistently able to deliver on time.
- Good communication skills, both oral and written (international environment).
- Ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and synthetic manner.
