As a member of the Risk Management department (27 people working in Belgium, France and Luxembourg), you will be part of the Operational Risk Management Team.
You will be part of a team of 5 people responsible for monitoring operational risks. Your missions will be as follows:
- Analysis of operational incidents (root cause analysis and identification of remediation and preventive action plans) and statistics on their evolution and concentration.
- Performing a second level of control on fund and mandate performance fees calculations.
- Participation to the coordination of the periodical Risk & Control Self-Assessment exercise and challenging of the different business units in this context.
- Establishment of risk cartographies on areas identified as potentially at risk.
- Monitoring of the effective realization in due time of the preventive action plans identified.
- Performing the MIFID suitability assessment.
- Collaboration with colleagues on other Operational Risk Management topics such as Business Continuity Plan maintenance or Third Party Risk Management.
- More generally, participation to the staff awareness on operational risk, to the organization of the Operational Risk Committee, to the team task automation and to the reporting on operational risks.
Minimum 3 years of experience within the Asset Management Industry or the banking sector, as fund auditor, operational risk manager or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of financial instruments and of financial institutions and markets working,
- Strong affinity for IT matters,
- Critical mind and ability to differentiate risk criticalness
- Rigorous but able of pragmatism
- Good communicator
- Team player and comfortable in a multicultural environment
- Proactive attitude and solution-oriented
- Knowledge of Python and/or Power Automate is a plus.
- Fluent in English and French. Dutch would be appreciated.
