Mission

The Head of Events is responsible for designing and delivering Candriam’s global event strategy across client, partner, and internal audiences. This senior leadership role oversees the planning and execution of proprietary conferences, sponsored events, hospitality programmes, and internal activations to support business development, brand awareness, and employee engagement.

Responsabilities

Main responsibilities:

  • Define and manage the global events calendar in line with commercial priorities and regional sales initiatives.
  • Set strategic objectives and ensure business alignment across all event formats.
  • Manage and mentor the events team across countries.
  • Ensure consistency in quality, brand alignment, and project delivery.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and cross-market collaboration.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of flagship events, from planning and budgeting through to on-site delivery and post-event reporting.
  • Work closely with Communications, Sales, Marketing, Product, and Executive teams to develop impactful event concepts and ensure alignment on content, audiences, and goals.
  • Lead negotiations with venues, agencies, and service providers.
  • Manage the global events budget, ensuring cost-efficiency, transparency, and return on investment.
  • Track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement of the event programme.
  • Evaluate emerging event technologies and formats to enhance participant experience.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and brand standards.

Profile

- 15 years in Events management, on the corporate side or in agency.
- Experience as team manager.

- Technical events knowledge
- Creative and innovative
- Strong sense of detail
- Organized, ability to prioritize, to work flexibly and to hit tight deadlines
- Strong management skills. Ability to manage a team of senior Events Managers
- Ability to manage multiple relationships with internal and external contacts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a results-driven, team-oriented environment
- Native French or Dutch speaker, with the ability to work in English
