The overall objective of this internship is to assist the ESG Emerging Market analyst in developing a robust approach to promoting ESG topics in emerging markets:
Your main tasks will be as follows:
- ESG Analysis: Evaluate the ESG performance of Emerging Markets companies using Candriam’s internal ESG evaluation framework.
- Engagement & Voting: Participating in stewardship activities (analysis of shareholders meeting’s resolutions, meetings and email discussions with companies in portfolio, developing new engagement thematics) to drive transparency and change on a range of ESG issues in emerging markets.
- Ad hoc projects: ESG data development for emerging market companies (Specific screening for SFDR such SI xontrib E&S, sectoral ESG risks, etc.)
- Prior experiences working on specific sustainable development issues and/or emerging markets are preferred.
- Proficiency is data processing applications (Excel, PowerBI, others) are preferred.
- Strong interests in sustainable development in emerging markets
- Analytical and curious mindset
- Good communication and writing skills
