Mission
The Middle Office Portfolio Monitoiring Team handles the two main basic activities in the Middle Office environment.
1.Reconciliation Team:
o Reconciliation of cash, securities and derivatives positions for all portfolios;
o End-of-month checks to guarantee qualitative client reporting;
o NAV check for specific Institutional Clients;
o Specific accounting and reporting requests for Insurance Mandates.
2. Corporate Actions Team:
o Management of the whole Corporate Action flow for funds and mandates (management of custodian notifications, fund manager choices and bookings
within strict deadlines);
3. Proxy Voting Process.
Responsabilities
As Middle Office Officer Portfolio Monitoring at CANDRIAM, you will put your experience and economic/financial knowledge to use in:
1. Ensuring the regular reconciliations of the cash and securities statements with custodians (transactions, dividends, coupons, fees, subscription/redemptions…)
2. Monitoring the Corporate Action process from the custodian notification until the fund manager decision
3. Ensure NAV comparisons are executed when needed
4. Reconcile Futures activity on a daily basis
5. Coordinating the Proxy Voting Process in coordination with internal colleagues
6. Monitoring the relationship with our custodians
7. Continuously enhancing current processes
Profile
1. Soft skills : He/She is an analytical, rigorous ( strongly risk awareness oriented ), assertive, autonomous, a demonstrable sense of initiative and results-driven team player and self-starter who constantly seeks ways to enhance existing processes;
2. He/She performs well in stressful situations;
3. He/she has a Bachelor/Master degree with financial orientation or equivalent experience (accounting, etc..)
4. He/she has experience in the banking sector or in asset management.
5. He/She holds knowledge of Front-to-Back flows for different types of financial instruments ( Equity, Bond, Forex, Money Market,ETD,.. );
6. He/she has knowledge of the Reconciliation and corporate actions process is clearly a plus
7. He/She is highly skilled in English, French and Dutch
